A normal club meeting would begin with a portion educating members of a specific, current human rights abuse. Afterwards, we would try to prevent this from happening further. An activity of prevention could be writing letters/emails to officials. Because this is an international organization, AI can provide speakers to come to the club meetings as well.

The Finance Club of The Benjamin School teaches students about portfolio management and various types of financial investment products. Annually, they use their learning to compete in the Knowledge@Wharton Competition and various smaller personal finance competitions within Florida. Members also oversee the Investment Fund provided by the TBS Board. Towards the end of the school year, senior club members develop a financial plan for their after-graduation lives.

French Club

Interested in learning more about the French language and culture? The French Club welcomes students of French and those who speak and understand it, who would like to sharpen their French language skills as they further discover all things French! Students are also encouraged to participate in the yearly State-wide French competition (Le congrès de la culture française) typically held mid-March.

The purpose of this club is to help rebuild, renovate, and improve neighborhoods that need it. Our club will help Habitat for Humanity with these goals.

HOSA

This is an international chartered organization that is for future health professionals. There are competitions and they are usually January locally at Keiser University, then States in Orlando, and Internationals which is held in Orlando, or Texas, or Tennessee depending on the year.

Spanish Club

The purpose of Spanish Club is to bring awareness different Hispanic cultures (e.g. promoting and celebrating major cultural holidays), enhance the language learning process (e.g offering tutoring, practicing speaking, etc). The Spanish club also looks to provide opportunities for community service (e.g. volunteering to help our Spanish-speaking community). Traditionally, the club has been a big part of preparing students that will participate in the Spanish State Competition (#Conferencia).

Bucs Speak Up for Kids would complete a minimum of 2 service projects per semester. This means that normal club activities would be planning and completing service projects to help younger students in other communities.

 

STEM Club

The STEM club is perfect for students who are unsure about their interest in stem and help them discover if they wish to pursue focusing their academics on a subject relating to STEM. This club will be intriguing for all grade levels.

Theoretical Science

To expand scientific knowledge and to debate and discuss ideas that science classes do not have enough time to cover. This club will apply concepts learned in school to unanswerable theories to provoke discussion. Any topics that want to be discussed can be emailed to either president, Jake Zur or Jack Horgen.
