The final game of the NFL season is over, and attention within the football community rose on Feb. 9th. The Philadelphia Eagles won against the Kansas City Chiefs, and many people have different traditions regarding this special event.
Every year, I would play golf with my dad and brother (when he was home), and we would always play a match. I go home, shower, get changed, and help my mother bake food for my neighborhood party.
Junior Mikey Tighe goes to his cousin’s house, senior Chrissy Tighe, every Super Bowl with his family.
“This was the first year I went by myself, but I usually go with my family to my cousin’s house every year to watch the game. They always have a bunch of good food, and I had so much fun going over there this year,” Tighe explained.
Sophomore Chase Atkins watches the big game with the same friends every year and loves it.
“I watch the Super Bowl with all of my friends I have known for as long as I can remember, and we all bet on the games. It is always super fun,” Atkins stated.
Although most people watch the game, Junior Annabel Bridger only watched the halftime show with her family.
“I go every year to the Sailfish Club down in Palm Beach. I go with my family and our friends to watch the big game. This year, I only watched the halftime show because I thought it was boring,”
Mrs. Ditaranto hangs out with her friends at a clubhouse for the big game.
“I go to the Frenchman’s Reserve clubhouse to watch the game with my friends on a big screen crowded with about 300 people. I always have a good time with them, because it is an all-you-can-eat buffet and I love hanging out and watching the big game with them,” Mrs. Ditaranto exclaimed.
Mr. Wik watched the game in his classroom.
“I usually watch the big game by myself because whenever I go to a party, I’m too laser-focused on the TV. This past Super Bowl, I watched it in Room 529, and I thought it was pretty cool because it was kind of my big screen all to myself,” Mr. Wik said.
