With Thanksgiving break and the end of the semester quickly approaching, various clubs are hard at work to schedule their final meetings and plan their upcoming events. Check out the table below to find out what these 10 clubs are doing right now!
| The Jewish Student Union Club

|
- The Jewish Student Union Club works to educate the community about Jewish culture, traditions, and events. The club also provides a space where Jewish students can come together to talk about their identity and religion
- Members are planning a Hanukkah Party for the month in December in which they will bring in a variety of jewish food for students to try during lunch.
- They are also trying to improve their community service outreach by letting members pick different community service opportunities they are interested in.
- Later this semester, the club will be going to the Quantum House, which offers comfort, shelter, and support for families of children receiving medical treatment. JSU members will be cooking dinner for the children one day in hopes of raising their spirits and providing some excitement before their upcoming surgeries.

| Yale Model United Nations

|
- This year, the Yale Model United Nations Club is trying to rebrand and start going to other conferences besides just the one at Yale. Members have some new initiatives in store such as a possibly Model United Nations event hosted at Benjamin.
- However, the club is still hard at work preparing for the Yale conference as members are striving to win awards. The conference will take place on the second week of January so members are crafting their comprehensive research papers for their specific committees
- There are several rules for the Model United Nations Conference, so members will mainly be reviewing those rules during meetings up until the event.

| Care Crew Club

- Care Crew is a nonprofit organization founded in 2018 by various students from the Benjamin community.
- The organization creates an impact on the community with an emphasis on food insecurity and literacy. Members of the nonprofit run a tutoring program at the Lake Park Library in which they offer daily after school help for students in need.
- This year, Care Crew expanded to be an official club at Benjamin. Members are working to recruit new tutors and are brainstorming new ideas for community outreach.
- The nonprofit in conjunction with the club is planning a fundraiser at Cycle Bar in December to raise money to increase resources for students at the library.

| Kids Luv Chemistry Club

|
- The Kids Luv Chemistry Club fosters excitement for science among younger students through hands-on experiments by coordinating monthly visits to the lower school.
- Club members brainstorm experiments each month and tutor high school students on Wednesdays each week for all levels of chemistry.
- Next on the agenda for the Kids Luv Chemistry is another trip to the lower school to perform experiments with the third grade students.

| Sports Analytics Club

|
- The Sports Analytics Club offers students an interesting perspective on the importance of statistics and analytics in the sports world.
- During meetings, they discuss professional sports games and what the data from those matches suggest about player and team performance.
- The club leaders also organize film sessions for varsity teams to watch before playing opponents so that they can understand their competition’s playing styles before stepping onto the field or court.
- With football season in full swing, the club has an ongoing fantasy football league for all members to participate in.

| Benjamin Buddies

|
- The Benjamin Buddies clubs hopes to provide a friendship for students with intellectual and physical disabilities.
- The club has partnered with the Learning Center at the Ernie Els school and plan dates every 2-3 weeks to have lunch with the students there.
- During these lunches, members engage in conversations and try to ask lots of questions in the hopes of enhancing their social capabilities.
- Before the end of this semester, the Benjamin Buddies club will host two more lunches at the picnic tables by the lake.

| National Honors Society

|
- Members of the National Honors Society are role models on the Benjamin Campus, upholding the four pillars of scholarship, character, service, and leadership each and every day.
- Each month, NHS members volunteer at Benjamin events, staffing school plays, musicals and open houses. They also participate in community outreach activities such as writing thank you cards for veterans or packaging food for The Palm Beach County Food Bank
- NHS is currently preparing for its annual poinsettia drive, in which each member must sell $80 worth of flowers, with all proceeds benefiting a selected nonprofit. The flowers will be delivered on December 3, and sophomores, juniors, and seniors will rally together to distribute them to buyers.

| National Science Honors Society

|
- The mission of SNHS is to build a community of students passionate about science through hands-on learning, guest speakers , and real world exposure to careers in STEM.
- On November 11 and 13, they hosted Dr. David Cinalli from the FAU Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute, who led an interactive sheep brain dissection and a lesson on action potentials and neural communication.
- In the future they hope to have more guest speaker sessions, including presentations such as a distinguished scientist who can speak about working on the Hubble Space Telescope in a school wide assembly.
- Our chapter is also dedicated to community service, with volunteering opportunities at places including the Quantum House, Loggerhead Marine Life Center, and other local STEM based organizations.
- The club is also in the midst of planning STEM field trips and experiences, including visits to iFly, Pratt & Whitney, Max Planck/Scripps, Jupiter Lighthouse, Kennedy Space Center, and forensic science sessions with the Sheriff’s Office.
- A major guest speaker we hope to hear from is the former CEO of Nexterra and FPL to expose students to the energy side of science.
- Our goals for the year include hosting more influential speakers, offering additional lab based demonstrations, expanding service opportunities, and increasing student involvement in science outreach across campus.

| National English Honors Society

|
- The National English Honor Society’s mission is to foster a love and appreciation for literature, poetry, and knowledge in the community.
- In meetings, NEHS members discuss poetry, work on creating creative bulletin board designs, and share a love for the literary community.
- NEHS runs book drives twice a year, one in the fall semester and one in the spring.
- Realizing that writing advice is a need among Upper School students, the members established a writing lab which now consists of 15 tutors to offer advice and edits on students’ papers.
- Their main goal is to host a poetry night for the school community next semester which they will be planning in their upcoming meetings.

| Speech and Debate

- The Speech and Debate team participates in 1-2 debates each month where they compete in the Palm Beach Catholic Forensic League and the Florida Civics and Debate Initiative.
- Club members feel that debate not only is important for improving Benjamin’s reputation in intellectual competitions but also for the furthering of communication for generations to come.
- The club also hosts in school tournaments to help spark thoughtful conversations and has helped establish a Middle School debate team to help inspire interest in the pursuit among younger students.

| Mindfulness Club

|
- The Mindfulness Club strives to spread positive energy and relieve stress for students and faculty of the Benjamin Community.
- They guide meditations during assemblies once a week.
- During their club meetings, they meditate, explore advanced aspects of mindfulness and teach members how to guide certain breathing exercises.
- Outside of school, the club hosts beach cleanups where they help protect the environment and enjoy the beautiful nature through meditation.
