A beloved local cafe has just expanded to Tequesta. Golden Juicery, located in the Bluffs Plaza on the border of Jupiter and Juno Beach, has opened its second location at 236 U.S. Rte 1, Tequesta, FL.
Golden Juicery has become a true treasure at the heart of the community, known for its laid-back charm and beachy feel. It’s more than just a coffee shop. Surfers stop by after early morning waves, run clubs rest there after a half-marathon along Ocean Road, and even hordes of Benjamin students pack the tables on a Friday afternoon.
The new location still features the cafe’s classic menu, including acai bowls, wraps, avocado toasts, and more. What differs the most is that the Tequesta Golden Juicery has a full breakfast and lunch menu. This includes new sandwiches and an array of pastries.
My meal began with a small treat. Fresh protein bites of many flavors are made in-house each morning. I chose the cacao brownie bite. Although the bite is finished in at most three bites, it feels like a dessert even after you remember it’s a healthy snack.
I then heard my name called at the drink counter. My typical order is an iced chai latte with almond milk. In the spirit of trying out the new location, I added cinnamon to my drink. Best decision ever! The spice added the perfect touch of fall.
For the main attraction, I ordered a small-sized acai bowl alongside one of the new sandwiches. I’ve tried almost every variation of the acai bowl during my two-year patronage, but I’ve now settled on strawberry, chia seeds, and honey as my go-to. The sandwich, dubbed the “Sol Fit Sammy,” includes egg whites, sprouts, avocado, turkey bacon, and a bell pepper aioli sauce on multigrain bread. It exceeded my expectations.
In terms of what can be improved, I say nothing. I only wish the sandwich and other new menu items were offered at the location closest to me. But considering how delicious everything was, the newest Golden Juicery is well worth the extra ten-minute drive.
