“I started playing golf ever since I could walk. My dad and grandpa got me into it. I tried out for varsity in 8th grade and made it, but I didn’t play a lot. It was still a lot of fun. I trained and played a lot better this year, and I’ve been in almost every tournament. Next up, we have the state championship, and I’m super excited.
I love the team as a whole, especially because there are so many kids older than me. Being around them helps me act more mature and get better at golf. We go on lots of trips and stay at hotels with just the team and no parents to worry about. It’s more fun that way because we bond more.
Andrew Tsar and Charlie Woods have definitely taken me under their wing, and the coaches have helped me a lot. Learning to play on certain and a variety of courses has come from Coach Healy, and Coach Harbeck helps me manage my school schedule because of how much I miss for golf.
My goal is absolutely to play in college. I don’t have a set dream school, but I’d love to go someplace like Vanderbilt University, UNC Chapel Hill, or the University of Florida.”
